For a smoother enrollment process, download the free Duo Mobile App from your app store before beginning. The current version of Duo Mobile supports Android 7.0 and greater. Review the setup process and be prepared to complete the process in its entirety.Faculty, staff, students, retirees, no-pays, affiliates and other unity account holders are required to enroll in Duo to enhance the security of your account at NC State.When you activate Duo, you will be required to log in with both your password and an additional security measure, such as a code delivered via text or mobile app security key or a push (or pop-up) notification on your smartphone. See the Manage Devices guide for instructions.Duo Security adds Two-Factor Authentication to services that facilitate login for unity account holders, most notably Google Workspace, MyPack Portal, WolfWare and many others. If neither of these suggestions work, then the simplest resolution is to contact Tech Café at 21 to request re-activation of Duo Mobile. When opening up the Duo app for the first time it will ask you for permission to send you notifications tap Allow. Many phones have trouble determining whether to use the Wi-Fi or cellular data channel when checking for push requests, and simply turning the phone to airplane mode and back to normal operating mode again often resolves these sort of issues, if there is a reliable internet connection available. The free Duo Mobile can supply two-factor authentication on any site that supports Google Authenticator. Tap either Add Account or the plus sign icon at the top. You may have trouble receiving push requests if there are network issues between your phone and our service.
